About Museo de Málaga

The Palacio de la Aduana, built from 1791 as the customs house, reopened in 2016 as the largest museum in Andalusia, combining the provincial fine arts collection, strong on 19th-century Málaga painters and early Picasso, with an archaeology floor running from Phoenician Málaga to the Nasrid period. It is big enough for two hours, rarely crowded, and the courtyard cafe is a good pause. Open Tuesday to Saturday 09:00 to 21:00 and Sundays 09:00 to 15:00, closed Mondays; entry is free for EU citizens and €1.50 for everyone else.
