About Málaga Cathedral

Known as La Manquita, the one-armed lady, because its second tower was never finished, the cathedral was begun in 1528 on the site of the main mosque and mixes Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque work, with a celebrated carved choir by Pedro de Mena. A general ticket (€12 including audio guide) covers the nave and museum; the timed rooftop visit climbs 200 steps to the terraces for views over the old town and is worth the extra planning. Tourist hours are Monday to Friday 10:00 to 20:00, Saturdays to 18:00 and Sundays 14:00 to 18:00, with last entry 45 minutes before closing.
