Calle Marqués de Larios

Opened in 1891 and pedestrianized in 2003, Calle Larios is the city's shopping and parade street, with uniform late-19th-century facades housing Spanish fashion chains, a few jewelers and the famous La Mallorquina pastry shop at the top. It is the setting for Holy Week processions, the August feria and the Christmas light show, when crowds can be dense in the evenings. Shops generally open 10:00 to 21:00 Monday to Saturday; the side streets toward Plaza de las Flores and Calle Strachan have the better bars.
