About Playa Calahonda (Nerja)
Calahonda is the small cove you see from the Balcón de Europa, with old fishermen's cottages built into the rock and a tunnel-like stairway down from the square. The water is clear and sheltered, which makes it a favorite for snorkeling, but the steep access is not practical with strollers or wheelchairs. There is a chiringuito and sunbed hire in season. Not to be confused with the long Playa Calahonda in Mijas.
