About Roman Theatre of Málaga

Built under Augustus and buried for centuries beneath a cultural center that was demolished in the 1990s, the theater now sits open to Calle Alcazabilla with a small glass interpretation center explaining the excavation. Entry is free, Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 to 18:00 and Sundays to 16:00, closed Mondays, and the terraces are a good place to sit for ten minutes before tackling the Alcazaba above. The pavement cafes opposite make it one of the best-located ruins in Andalusia.
