Museo Casa Natal Picasso

The Fundación Picasso occupies the house on the corner of Plaza de la Merced where the artist was born on 25 October 1881 and spent his first years, with family memorabilia, early drawings, ceramics and illustrated books, plus a temporary exhibition space in a second building on the square. It is modest beside the Museo Picasso, so treat it as a 45-minute complement rather than a substitute; the bronze Picasso sitting on a bench outside is a favorite photograph. Open daily 09:30 to 20:00; admission €4 with a free audio guide, free for under-18s.
