Benalmádena Pueblo

Benalmádena has three parts and the Pueblo is the original one, a hillside village 250 m up with bougainvillea-draped lanes, the Plaza de España, small archaeology and pre-Columbian art museums and a viewpoint over the bay. It is a 10-minute drive from the marina and pairs naturally with the nearby Castillo de Colomares and the Buddhist stupa at the top of the hill, the largest in Europe. Evenings on the square are pleasant and far less crowded than Mijas.
