Benahavís Village

Benahavís is a small white village in a gorge of the Guadalmina river, a 15-minute drive up from San Pedro Alcántara. It has more restaurants per resident than anywhere else on the coast, a cluster of lanes around the church and the ruins of Montemayor castle above the town, and the river walk through the Angosturas gorge starts at the lower end of the village. Evenings are the busiest time; lunch midweek is more relaxed and easier to park.
