La Zagaleta (Club de Campo)

La Zagaleta is a 900-hectare private estate in the hills above Benahavís with two courses reserved for members and residents: the Old Course by Bradford Benz (1994, reworked by Marc Westenborg in 2016), a par 72 of 6,039 m, and the New Course opened in 2005, a par 70. There is no pay-and-play; the only way on is as a member's guest. It matters to property buyers because membership comes with ownership on the estate, which also has an equestrian center, heliport and clubhouses.
