Calle Larios Christmas lights and light show

Málaga's Christmas lights have become a destination in their own right. The switch-on ceremony on Calle Larios draws tens of thousands, and from then until Three Kings the street's canopy of lights performs a synchronized show with music several times each evening, with 2.7 million LED points across more than 80 streets and squares in the center. The Paseo del Parque hosts a Christmas market, the botanical garden runs a separate ticketed light trail, and dozens of nativity scenes open around the city. It is free and very crowded on weekends; go on a weekday evening, and book restaurants on Larios well ahead if you want a table with a view.

Recurs: annual, switch-on on the last Friday of November (2025: 28 November), lights until 6 January with music-and-light shows on Calle Larios three times nightly; the 2026 switch-on date is pending the council's announcement.
