Gibraltar Nature Reserve (Upper Rock)

The Upper Rock covers the limestone ridge above the town, and a single reserve ticket (£30 adults, £22 children 5 to 11 in 2026) covers St Michael's Cave, the Great Siege and WWII tunnels, the Moorish castle, the Skywalk and the Windsor suspension bridge, with the Barbary macaques roaming everywhere between. The cable car ran its last trip in November 2025 and is being rebuilt until 2027, so access is on foot from the Jews' Gate or by taxi and minibus tours, which is how most visitors from the coast do it. Hours are 09:00 to 18:15 from October to April and 09:30 to 19:15 in summer; bring a passport for the border and allow a full day from Marbella.
