About Monowa Butterfly Park (Mariposario de Benalmádena)
Long known as the Mariposario de Benalmádena and now trading as Monowa Butterfly Park, this is a humid tropical garden under glass beside the Buddhist stupa above Arroyo de la Miel, with butterflies, a few birds, iguanas and a wallaby enclosure. Allow an hour; mornings are calmer and the butterflies more active. Adult tickets are €13.50 and children 3 to 12 pay €11.50; it opens daily from 10:00, closing between 18:00 and 19:00 depending on season.
