Ronda sits on a plateau at 740 m in the mountains behind the Costa del Sol, about 60 km and 75 minutes from Marbella on the scenic A-397. The town is divided by the 100 m deep Tajo gorge, spanned by the Puente Nuevo, and holds one of the oldest bullrings in Spain, Arab baths and a cluster of small wineries.
