Parador de Málaga Golf

Opened in 1925 to a design by the Scot Tom Simpson, this is the oldest course on the Costa del Sol and still one of the most pleasant: a flat par 72 of 6,173 m that mixes seaside holes along the Guadalmar beach with tree-lined parkland where parakeets nest. The state-run Parador hotel sits on the course, and guests receive green-fee discounts. It is ten minutes from Málaga airport, which makes it a classic first or last round of a trip.
