About Setenil de las Bodegas
Setenil's two most photographed streets, Cuevas del Sol and Cuevas de la Sombra, run along the Trejo river with the limestone cliff forming the roof of the houses and tapas bars beneath. It is a village to wander for a couple of hours, climbing to the Nasrid castle keep for the overview and stopping for chorizo or local pork at the cave bars, and it sits 20 minutes from Ronda, so the two are easily paired in a day from the coast. Parking at the top of the village and walking down is the sensible approach; the lanes are too narrow for cars.
