About Senda Litoral (Málaga Coastal Path)
The Senda Litoral is the Diputación de Málaga's project to join the whole provincial coastline into one continuous route of roughly 180 km across 14 municipalities, using promenades, wooden boardwalks over dunes and rocks, and footbridges across river mouths. Most of it is finished and flat, so you can walk or ride from Puerto Banús to Marbella, through the Artola dunes, or along the Mijas boardwalks between Calahonda and La Cala without touching a road. A few gaps remain where cliffs or private land interrupt the line; the section around Nerja's Balcón de Europa was still under construction in 2026.
