La Hacienda Links Golf Resort (Alcaidesa)

Formerly Alcaidesa, La Hacienda has two courses between Sotogrande and Gibraltar. The Links Course, laid out by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark in 1991 and substantially redesigned by Kurtis Bowman in 2022, runs along the shore with views of the Rock and the African coast and was named Best Golf Course in Spain at the 2023 World Golf Awards; it is a par 72 of 5,846 m. The Heathland Course by Dave Thomas (2007) is a par 72 of 6,373 m inland. High-season visitor fees are about 230 euros for the Links and 110 for the Heathland; the golf office is open 7:30 to 19:00 daily and a Fairmont hotel anchors the resort.
