Hacienda del Mar, Meliá Collection (formerly Kempinski Hotel Bahía)

Opened in 1999 as the Kempinski Hotel Bahía, this Moorish-influenced beachfront hotel east of Estepona was the reference five-star between Marbella and Sotogrande for a quarter century, with 132 rooms and 15 suites in lush gardens running down to the sand. By 2026 it had left Kempinski and is listed as Hacienda del Mar, a member of Meliá Collection, keeping the same address, phone, pools, large spa, kids' club and restaurants, with the Laguna dining village and Sublim beach club next door.
