About Playa de la Carihuela
La Carihuela was a fishing quarter before tourism arrived in the 1950s, and its low houses and seafront restaurants still give it a village feel. The beach is wide and sandy, with sunbed hire, showers, summer lifeguards and a flat promenade that runs for some 7 km along the Torremolinos coast toward Benalmádena. Blue Flag in 2026. Come for lunch of espetos or fritura malagueña at one of the long-standing restaurants.
