About Playa de El Palo
El Palo is the most traditional of Málaga's beach neighborhoods, with breakwaters forming a chain of semicircular beaches, traditional jábega rowing boats pulled up on the sand, and family-run restaurants serving the morning's catch. The beach has showers, sunbed hire and parking, and is popular with local divers and anglers. It shares the Blue Flag with its neighbors in 2026. Bus 11 or 3 from the center takes about 25 minutes.
