About Playa Ancha (Casares Costa)
Playa Ancha is the main beach of Casares Costa, the coastal strip of the hilltop village of Casares, a few minutes west of Estepona. It is broad and generally quiet, with dark sand, a couple of chiringuitos, showers and lifeguards in summer, and parking off the old N-340. Blue Flag in 2026. The Finca Cortesín estate sits on the hill directly behind it.
