Frigiliana is a hillside village 6 km inland from Nerja, repeatedly named among the most beautiful villages in Spain. Its old Moorish quarter, the Barribarto, is a maze of stepped cobbled lanes, glazed-tile panels and flower-filled balconies, and the village hosts the Festival de las 3 Culturas each late August.
