Ardales is a white village in the Guadalhorce valley about 60 km northwest of Málaga, next to the turquoise reservoirs known locally as the Málaga lakes. It is the northern gateway to the Caminito del Rey and to the El Chorro gorge, a 50-minute drive from Málaga and around 75 minutes from Marbella.
